Volunteering with the Visitor Centre

Volunteers are the heart of the Rockingham Visitor Centre. If you love Rockingham, enjoy meeting people, and want to share your local knowledge, this is a great way to get involved. Our volunteers play an important role in making visitors feel welcome and ensuring they leave with the best experience possible.

What You’ll Do

As a volunteer, you’ll help visitors:

• Find information about local attractions, cafés, tours, and activities.

• Provide recommendations based on your knowledge of Rockingham and the surrounding area.

• Assist with brochures, maps, and directions.

• Support the Visitor Centre team with enquiries and bookings.

Who We’re Looking For

There are no age restrictions for volunteering — all are welcome. We simply ask that you:

• Are reasonably fit and able to spend time on your feet.

• Can commit to shifts of at least 2 hours at a time.

• Bring a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a willingness to share your local knowledge.

Whether you’re retired, studying, or just looking for a way to give back, volunteering with us is rewarding, social, and fun.
